After going through four car dolly strap sets in 15 years… Seen good and bad. One of the things to look for in a good strap is for the cross straps to be securely connected to the side straps. You don’t just want to see a butt joint here. IE the end of the cross strap laying across the side strap with only the stitching holding things together. This puts all the stress on the stitching. This stitching will break/stretch and this will pull apart this critical component of the car dolly strap. What you want to see is the cross strap looping over and extending under the side strap and continuing till it is well passed the side strap on the back side, kind of like a fish hook… with stitching all the way. With this the stress is mostly on the strap, not the stitching. The other thing to look for is a snap hook connection to your tie point
