Saini vineyards Sauvignon Blanc
Sauvignon blanc is a difficult wine to get right.. It’s a subtle wine, a combination of “sweet” and “sour”. Usually sweet when it first hits your pallet, then sour after you “drop it down the hatch”. It’s not hard to find one that is way to “sour”, but sometimes the “sweetness” can overpower. Some vintners maximize both the sweetness and sourness and the result can be special. The Saini vineyards approach has been to tone down both the sweet and the sour resulting in a very smooth and drinkable wine from the very special Dry Creek valley area of Sonoma county.
